QUESTIONS
How do I Charter a Boat?
Chartering a Boat with us is very easy: Send a request by filling
out the form on the reservations pages or call (760) 200-7047.
If you choose to use email, you will be contacted with verification
of availability which will be followed by a confirmation both will
be sent to you via e-mail or US mail if you prefer.
Will someone meet us at the dock?
Yes, the crew will be ready and prepared for departure at the agreed
time as per your reservations.
How many people will be boarding the boat?
When you charter a boat from Marina Baja Fiesta, only those in your
party and the crew will be aboard your boat.
What do I need to bring?
Items, such as sun screen and first-aid medication are recommended.
All our boats are equipped with overhead shade but it's always a
good idea to wear additional protection (hat, cap, etc.) against
sunburn in the summer months. Bring an ice chest with food and
drinks for your own consumption during the day. Don’t forget
Zip-Lock baggies in which to pack your fish filets.
Do you guarantee I will catch fish?
No, that's why it's called "fishing" and not "catching". Our fish
counts are well respected within the Ensenada sport-fishing
community. Therefore we feel your chances for a successful day are
as good as a combination of weather, timing, angler’s ability and
LUCK will allow.
What is the best time of year to fish?
It really depends on what you want to fish for. See:
Sportfishing Calendar
Do I need a fishing License?
According to the local fishing authorities all persons boarding the
boat regardless of whether they will fish or not require a fishing
license.
Where can I buy a Mexican fishing license?
Fishing licenses are available at our marina’s office or at your
charter vessel.
What is proper gratuity for the crew?
We recommend 10/15% but of course it's your call. Proper gratuity
for the crew is truly up to you.
